[Product Performance]: 

L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid produced especially for piglets, sows and poultry although it is also beneficial for other animals. It is regarded as one of the four limiting amino acids in animal diets, which means it cannot be synthesized internally; however, the dietary supply of L-Tryptophan included in commercial feeds is commonly inadequate. An L-Tryptophan deficiency is generally characterized by decreased feed intake, digestive inefficiency, and slow growth rates. Since L-Tryptophan plays a critical role in growth performance and feed efficiency, the addition of L-Tryptophan to commercial feeds is recommended in order to achieve an optimal amino acid balance and as a means to fulfill animals’ digestible tryptophan requirements.
